The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed one of the two games that Inti Creates has hinted at making for Nintendo systems is Mighty Gunvolt Burst.
We reported last week that the developer behind Mega Man ZX and Blaster Master Zero had confirmed they would be unveiling two new Switch games at next week’s Bitsummit. It seems now that one of those games is a sequel to the 3DS eshop game Mighty Gunvolt, and it will be released on both 3DS and Switch.
Reportedly Mighty Gunvolt Burst will build on the original game with a character growth system, and a new ‘burst combo’ that adds bonus points when the player takes down adjacent enemies. The game will also offer two playable characters named Beck and Gunvolt, and will even feature the Switch’s HD Rumble.
No release date has been given, but it seems the game will again be a digital release. Doubtless we will learn more at Bitsummit itself, along with details of Inti Creates’s second game.
Bitsummit takes place 20 and 21 May in Kyoto, Japan, and will be showcasing the latest indie gaming talent, including Earth Atlantis, who we interviewed the director of last week.
